How it works

Four steps. Clear & simple.

No agency runaround. You talk to the person building the site. Start to finish in 1-2 weeks.

Step 1

We jump on a 20-min call. You tell me about the band, what's working, what's losing you bookings. No commitment — I'll tell you straight if a site will actually help.

Step 2

I send a short brief. You send photos, music links, show dates, the vibe. I sketch a design direction and show you a live preview.

Step 3

We iterate on the preview — copy, layout, photos. Two rounds of feedback. No surprises, no hidden revisions.

Step 4

Site goes live on your domain. I set up analytics, submit to Google, and stay on call for 30 days to tweak anything.

What bands say

Client reviews.

Looked like a million bucks on day one. Venues started taking us more seriously the moment we sent the link.

Honest, fast, and actually gets what a band needs. I don't have to think about my site — it just works.

Who's behind this

Built by a working musician.

Backline Sites was built by a working musician, not a web agency.

After years of playing gigs around New Zealand, I kept seeing the same thing: great acts missing out on bookings because their websites didn't show how good they actually are.

So I started building better ones.

Simple, clean, and designed to turn visitors into enquiries — no fluff, no overcomplicated nonsense. Just websites that actually help you get more gigs.

Built for musicians, by someone in the industry.

The details

Common questions.

Still got questions? Send me a message — I reply within a day.

There are two ways to work together:

• $600 one-time — I build your site and teach you to manage it yourself. After launch: no ongoing fees.

• $29.99/month — I build your site and keep running it for you: hosting, updates, and edits when you need them.

Most sites go live within 1-2 weeks from kickoff. Rush jobs for upcoming releases or tours — ask.

It depends which package you choose - if you choose the $600 one-time package — your domain, your hosting, your content, full ownership is yours. If you go with the $29.99/month subscription, I own and manage the site on your behalf, but you can request a handoff anytime.

For the $600 one-time package: yes, free updates and support for the first 30 days after launch. After that, you can manage it yourself or reach out for help. For the $29.99/month plan: all updates are included — new shows, photos, copy changes, whatever you need.

Happy to — most of my clients are in NZ but the work is fully remote. Timezones sorted over email.

I can rebuild on the same domain with zero downtime, or just fix what's broken. Send the link and I'll give you an honest take.
